The Ohio Turfgrass Foundation
is a professional organization of turfgrass managers, golf course
superintendents, sod producers, lawn care services, nursery and
landscape maintenance contractors, athletic ground managers, parks
and recreation departments, municipalities, cemetery superintendents,
suppliers, and other industry personnel associated with turfgrass
management in and around Ohio.
The mission of OTF is to promote the turfgrass industry in Ohio,
to encourage further study and research of turfgrass science, and
to speak on matters of policy affecting the turfgrass industry –
all of which provide better turf for everyone.
OTF business is conducted by a Board of Trustees and Officers who
volunteer time and travel. More than 1300 companies, individuals,
academia, and students are members of OTF.

This annual three-day event is open to all turfgrass professionals.

Scholarships
Students studying turfgrass science and management at accredited
universities in Ohio have been the recipients of over $300,000 in
scholarships. OTF began research and scholarship funding in 1968.
Awards
Professional of the Year and Professional Excellence Awards are
presented annually to turfgrass managers and/or industry personnel
for outstanding achievements and contributions to the turfgrass
industry.

Education & Field Day
OTF supports educational opportunities for turfgrass professionals,
including Field Day. This annual event will keep you abreast of
current research results at The Ohio State University.
Ohio Turfgrass Research Trust
OTF recently established a 501 (c)3, non-profit charitable research
foundation to ensure the continuing presence of world class turfgrass
research in Ohio.
Golf Tournaments
Participants contribute toward turfgrass education and research
and compete for prizes while playing some of Ohio’s outstanding
golf courses.
Communications
OTF strives to promote communication among all facets of the turfgrass
industry. Discounts on industry publications are available to OTF

Membership Categories
Organizational ($170)
Any one company currently involved in the management of turfgrass,
including: golf courses, lawn care companies, landscapers, nurseries,
sod producers, parks and recreation, grounds maintenance, cemeteries,
athletic fields, suppliers, and all other related organizations.
Organizational members have one contact person with full voting
privileges.
Affiliate Organizational ($35)
Any one person whose company has joined as an Organizational Member.
Affiliate members receive all OTF mailings, are listed in the Membership
Directory, and receive member benefits, but have no voting privileges.
Individual ($85)
Anyone currently involved in the management of turfgrass. Individual
members have full voting privileges.
Student ($20)
Any student currently enrolled in a high school, vocational technical
school, college or university. Student members have no voting privileges.
Faculty (complimentary)
Any person involved in teaching turfgrass management, landscape,
horticulture, or related fields. Faculty members have no voting
privileges.
