|Dan and his wife, Catlynn have a daughter named Lyla. He is a graduate of Washington State University. We wish Dan and his staff all the best this week as they host the LPGA Tour's Marathon Classic presented by Owens Corning and O-I.|
Why is being an OTF member important to you?
The educational and networking opportunities available through OTF membership have been invaluable to my facility and professional development.
What are your favorite and least favorite parts of your job?
I love being fully involved in leading every aspect of the club's vision and long-term plans for course improvement. My least favorite part of the job is paperwork!
What is your favorite OTF memory?
I will always remember my first couple of visits to the conference and trade show. People were so welcoming and it really began my first experiences in professional networking.
What influenced you to get into the turfgrass industry?
Working through high school and college on golf courses, I began to realize that dwelling in cubicles wasn't for me.
What is your favorite thing to do when you're not working and why?
Spending time with my wife and daughter, hands down.
What is your favorite movie?
Caddyshack - duh.
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere with a mountain to slide down or a river to pull fish from.
