2016 Outlook for Ohio
The average temperature for March will be above normal. Precipitation is likely to be slightly below
normal for the month.
March is typically a transition month when the weather
pattern changes from winter to spring.
This March will follow that typical pattern. The temperature will be below normal for the
first few days of the month. The weather
will shift to a much warmer pattern during the second week of the month and it
is likely to stay warmer than normal for much of the rest of the month. A few days could bring near record high
temperatures. There will be a few surges
of colder air, but the temperature will average above normal for the month.
A series of low pressure systems will move across Ohio
periodically during the month and bring mostly rain. Even with the low pressure systems, the
precipitation could end up being a little below normal for the month.
