The purpose of the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation is to promote the turfgrass industry in Ohio, to encourage the further study, research and education of turfgrass science, and to speak on matters of policy affecting the turfgrass industry – all of which provide better turf for everyone. Who should join OTF? Become a part of an elite group of turfgrass managers, golf course superintendents, sod producers, lawn care operators, nursery and landscape maintenance contractors, cemetery superintendents, athletic field managers, parks and recreation departments, suppliers, and other turfgrass professionals who have already discovered the benefits of OTF membership. How can I become more involved in OTF (i.e. Committees, Task Force, Board of Trustees)? What are the benefits to becoming a member? The Ohio Turfgrass Foundation has helped Ohio earn its reputation as a leader in the turfgrass industry. OTF is a non-profit organization developed to promote and support the turfgrass industry in Ohio through ongoing turfgrass research, education and promotion. Throughout the year OTF supports educational opportunities for turfgrass professionals, including the OSU/OTF Research Field Day, Regional Seminars, Ohio State Golf Turf Spring Tee-off, and the Ohio Turfgrass Conference & Show. OTF research contributions have exceeded $450,000 in scholarships to students studying turfgrass science and management at Ohio schools and universities.
