In 1996, a new 7,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art research facility was built on the West Campus of The Ohio State University. This project was financed by the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation and continues to provide students, faculty and staff with a first-class facility to conduct research. The facility is the anchor of a diverse education, research and outreach program in Turfgrass Science at The Ohio State University. The facility is used by the inter-departmental OSU Turfgrass Science Team, including the Department of Horticulture & Crop Science,
Department of Entomology, Department of Plant Pathology and the School of Natural Resources.
Hundreds of turfgrass professionals from across the region gather each summer at the OTF Research and Education Facility to hear about the latest trends in industry practices during the OTF/OSU Field Day. Additionally, the OTF Research Facility is utilized by other state organizations and national companies to further their research ventures.
