WE'RE CELEBRATING TURFGRASS WEEK!
last week of May is recognized by the state of Ohio as Turfgrass Week.
The designation is in recognition of the environmental, economic and
quality of life benefits which turfgrass provides.
Natural grass (turfgrass) accounts for over $4 billion to Ohio's economy, employs more than 40,000 people, can improve home values, reduce stress and more!
Ohio Turfgrass Foundation members are among the industry's leading professionals. They're educated and informed on matters impacting their ability to manage quality turfgrass.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Support initiatives to provide resources for outreach, extension and education for turfgrass managers including Ohio State Extension, OARDC and state, regional and local trade associations.
If maintaining your own property, follow labels when applying fertilizer and pesticides to your lawn.
Encourage those maintaining your common areas, school grounds, local sports fields, etc. to be trained, licensed and educated on the best practices in managing turfgrass.
